As an American, I urge you to remain engaged with rebuilding Iraqi infrastructure, government, and society. I believe that the U.S. bears significant responsibility for partnering with Iraqis and supporting Iraqis as they seek to rebuild their country. I'm adding my voice so that you can remember the voices of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who have died during the Iraq War, the millions of Iraqis who have been displaced from their homes, and the millions of Iraqis without access to basic services like clean water.
