We have been working with the Guthrie Theater for the past several months on the upcoming production of Noura. The new play centered around Noura, a newly minted U.S. citizen, is a poignant exploration of motherhood, marriage and identity in modern America. Noura is the newest play by Heather Raffo, a Lucille Lortel Award-winning Iraqi American playwright and actress.
Our partnership focuses on themes of cultural and gender identity, belonging and the complicated nature of home. Through our post-play discussions for Noura, we will celebrate the lived experiences of Iraqi women in our Twin Cities community and explore how culture and gender shape the play.
We have an amazing fundraising opportunity to sell tickets to Noura’s opening night on January 17th at 7:30pm benefiting our Iraq Matters campaign. Purchasing your tickets through us means that 100% of the proceeds will support our work to create community, change the discourse, and rebuild in Iraq. We also have limited spots open to the post-show party with the cast and crew!
The donated price, less $15 per ticket, is tax-deductible. Contact IARP by phone or email, or donate online here by December 20th to receive tickets at this special rate!
