Photographer Ahmed Alshaikhli is a seasoned photojournalist, working with prominent Iraqi and international television broadcasters such as MBC, Al Arabia, Al-Hurra, and the Associated Press. He holds a high diploma in Fine Arts and Photography.  Ahmed moved to the U.S. in 2014 and eventually made his way to Minnesota where he now lives with his family.

Storyteller Lafta Abduljabbar Jassim, born and raised in Basra, is a theater artist, singer, and playwright. After a professional career in the arts, he graduated from the University of Basra, College of Fine Arts in 2011. He moved to the U.S. in 2008. Lafta, a father of three boys and two girls, lives in Coon Rapids.
